Richard is a great team leader and collaborator, highly skilled in directing large international projects.

 

Richard Paul has a wide-ranging international experience as a Partner with Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and has managed large teams of architects on major schemes worldwide. He has been key to the development of the practice’s work in Asia and is currently working on a number of schemes in China and America.

Richard championed the design of Tower 3, a 75-storey mixed-use office building at the heart of the World Trade Center redevelopment in New York. He was also involved in the design evolution of Canary Wharf Riverside South, the new European Headquarters for a major investment bank.

Richard has a well-recognised reputation for outstanding leadership and innovation. He promotes excellence in the design of sustainable architecture which fundamentally underpins the RSHP design philosophy. An example of this can be seen at Chiswick Park, an energy efficient, low cost, truly sustainable environment which set the benchmark for this building typology throughout the world. Richard was involved in Chiswick Park from its conception in 1999, through the various phases up to the present day. It remains a model for business park development and has won many awards.

Richard was previously a board director of Foster+Partners where he worked on the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank Headquarters in Hong Kong, and where he also lived for a number of years.
